I just watched a repeat of Wheeler Dealers on the Fiat Dino Coupe. I was really fascinated by seeing this car and wondered if I'd find any on E-Bay and sure enough I did. This one has the original 2.0 Liter DOHC V6 65° (aluminium block) Dino engine built by Fiat workers in Turin and used in this car and the Dino. So, it was a Fiat engine if we're honest though it is marked as being a Dino on the engine itself.
The drawback to this model year is it has a less sophisticated suspension than the 2.4 Liter coupe. It uses a single leaf spring on a live axle. According to Wikipedia later models employed a "sophisticated coil-sprung independent rear suspension setup derived from the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ".
The car has been parked outside, in Florida, for about 8 years. It's rough. Allow me to quote the eBay listing for you: " BEEN SITTING FOR 8 YEARS AND HAS TAKEN SOME ABUSE FROM THE FLORIDA SUN." This doesn't exactly exude confidence in bringing it back to its former glory. The Dino Coupe !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! found is below and was in excellent shape with the exception of a few dents.
Take a look at the engine (pictures below). Where is !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! when you need him?

Didn't the Dino James May drove on Top Gear catch fire?
$3K isn't a ton for this one but parts will be next to impossible to find and when you finally brush up on your Italian to place your order it will take 6-8 weeks for them to arrive. After you get it running again there's no way you (I) could shake the feeling I waited almost 3 months to drive a Fiat. And since the guys on the factory floor were more concerned with demonstrating to show their love of Communism, hoping to foment an insurrection from the Fiat parking lot in Turin. Meaning it'll probably break in an all new way before you get it back in the garage.
CP. pass. If I'm going to have an Italian car that only runs once every 6 weeks I'll get an Alfa so at least those 3 hours it's running will feel like reaching nirvana

An absolutely beautiful one with irs / bigger engine in silver just sold for 14,000.
There is also a petrolicious video on the spyder. Everything mentions about how the motor is INSANELY expensive to repair. Basically if you want to spend 20-30,00 probably 50 if therei s rust repair on a car thats worth 10-12 grand.

There's no way it is going to go for only the current bid. My guess would be at least $9,000 in that condition, assuming the motor isn I like these, though as has often been pointed out, you are getting Ferrari repair and running costs combined with Fiat cachet.
